190 Villagers Screened in TSF’s Specialised Health Camp at Joda

Joda, January 16, 2022: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) organized a one-day free Specialised Health Camp at Kundaposi village under Joda Block of Keonjhar district recently.

As many as 190 residents belonging to Palsa Ka, Palsa Kha, Kundaposi, Tadpani, Chamakpura, Bamebari Basti, BDP Camp and Bagunasahi villages were screened at the camp. Large number of children in the age group of 5-10 years accompanied by their parents were seen attending the camp.

Apart from consultation by specialist doctors for Medicine, Skin & VD, and Paediatrics, the patients were provided free generic medicines. The camp was conducted with an objective to create a health profile of the locals and, subsequently to guide and advice them for a healthy living.

Social activist Samuk Pradhan inaugurated the camp as chief guest in the presence of Pradeepta Kumar Mansingh, TSF and doctors’ team of Tata Steel Hospital, Joda comprising Dr S Dasgupta, Dr Debasish Satpathy and Dr Anmol Tigga.

Expressing happiness for organising the camp, Pani Munda of Tadpani village said, “Usually we are very busy in our day-to-day life and neglect our health. This camp is really very helpful for us through which we were screened”.

To cater to the needs of people residing in and around mining-rich Joda, TSF plans to organise more such health camps in future.
