Bhubaneswar: A police ASI in Mancheswar Police station Bhubaneswar has found it costly to accept bribe of Rs 5,000 to settle a criminal case. Vigilance has arrested the ASI involved in taking bribe money from the complainants. The accused police ASI was identified as Rabinarayan Sahu. He was working at the Mancheswar police station under the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate of Police.
ASI Mr. Sahu had asked to 5 thousandth bribe . vigilance officers raided the house of ASI. During the raid colored bribe of Rs 5,000 from Mr Sahu’s pocket seized . The vigilance department arrested Mr. Sahu in connection with the seizure. A search was also made of Mr. Sahu’s residence in Acharya Vihar.
