Patrapur: The body of a minor was allegedly found dead last night in Badaanchupa village of Buratal panchayat, This incedent happened in Ganjam district’s Zarda police station. Tahsildar Amit Kumar Nayak and Zarda police officer Mrityunjaya Swai along with the scientific team from Berhampur arrived at the spot to investigate the incident. The body was later confiscated and sent for autopsy. The Girl thought to have committed suicide by hanging herself with a veil around her neck centering on a love affair. He spoke to his half-brother before he died.
The minor had an affair with a man in the village. Knowing this, the brother persuaded him. Also yesterday, the minor called his brother on his mobile phone and demanded Rs 4,000. There was a heated argument between the two. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang’s intervention. But the juvenile’s uncle calls it a murder. A case has been registered under Case No. 283. The cause will be clarified only after the autopsy report is received, police official Mr. Swain said.
