Binika: An extinct pangolin has been reported in Badkarle village in Dunguripalli block of Subarnapur district.
According to information received, the villagers spotted a pangolin in Badkarle village of Dunguripalli block late last night. The pangolin was found to be about 2 feet long. Crowds of people flocked to the village to see the pangolin . It is suspected to be from the nearby Chudakhai or Puja Dunguri forests.
This morning, locals informed the Rampur police and the forest department. The Forest Service arrived at the scene and is continuing its investigation.
This is the first time such a pangolin has been reported in the area.
